Kim-Sa Ngo is a fifth-year undergraduate International Relations and Anthropology double major. She enjoys traveling and recently spent a term on exchange in Copenhagen where she was able to immerse herself in studies about Scandinavia and the European Union. During her exchange term, she had the opportunity to explore over 10 different countries around Europe. Kim-Sa is interested in human rights studies and international law. On completion of her graduation, she hopes to take a break from studies by working and then pursuing law school in the future. Aside from academic interests, Kim-Sa enjoys dancing, listening to podcasts, and traveling.

Clara Tavares is a fourth year International Relations major at UBC. She is particularly interested in sustainable international development, human rights, and world issues inflicting women and children. After graduation, Clara hopes to attain work experience before pursuing either a law or master’s degree in international development. Outside of academics, Clara enjoys traveling, learning new languages, dancing, and spending time with all the special people in her life. She is looking forward to help people voice their research interests, and is excited to be a part of the JIA editorial board.
